Age 70, of Arcanum, passed away at St. Rita's Hospital on Thursday, September 16, 2021 following a brief illness.
Sonny was a man who knew life didn't need to be complicated. Sonny spent over 25 years working at the Buckeye Feed Mill for the Weaver brothers. He was a sports fan who liked football, baseball, and NASCAR. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by the relatives and friends he leaves behind.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Clapp; parents, and sister, Candy.
Sonny is survived by his significant other, Alice Hinman; son, Phil (Ashley) Clapp; step-children, Denis (Roberta) Short, Jeanne (Glenn Morris) Philpot, Ammy Nenaber, Don (Betsy) Short, Lisa Jeffers, Chad (Erica) Williams; grandsons, Jayden, Jacob, Wyatt, & Ryder Clapp; 15 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
