Ruth may have died sometime after the birth of the daughter America Ann but prior to the death of her father James Wilcox, as the probate of James mentions that his widow was boarded out with Henry Trent for a year. I think that Ruth's mother( or Step mother????)was there to care for the babies until Henry remarried to Harriet Clemmons. the 1830 census indicates an older woman in the house, who would not be Ruth or Harriet
