Bill and Patty are members of Blessed Sacrament Parish. He was a Men's Group participant and eucharistic minister at Blessed Sacrament. He volunteered many hours for Birthright of Quincy, helping staff Birthright events and providing direct assistance to clients. He was named that organization's volunteer of the year in 2016.
Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He spent many years as a longtime volunteer youth sports coach, and he served as commissioner of a golfing group that routinely met on Tuesdays at local courses. He will be remembered for organizing Jart-O-Mania, an annual lawn jarts tournament, for friends and family for more than 20 years.
