Jim Joe Elbert, age 69, passed away at his home on August 30, 2021. He was born in Seneca, Mo on August 3, 1952, the youngest child of Robert Elbert and Mary (Van Dorien) Elbert.

He married Linda Sue Tanner on January 1, 1971 and after serving in the Army, they made their home in the Butler area.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife Linda, one sister Andrea Coffee, and his parents Robert and Mary.

He is survived by five siblings. Mary Lee Coggins of Miami, Ok; Roberta Smith of Hutchison Kansas; Frances Witte of Miami, Ok; Doreen Easly of Houston, Tx; and David Elbert of Joplin, Mo. Also surviving are his three children: Angela Larey and husband Terry of Grove, Ok; Kevin Elbert of Jay, Ok; and Brian Elbert of Jay, Ok; Four grandchildren, Katherine Larey, Dakota Larey, Cheyenne Elbert, and Hunter Elbert and one great-grandchild, Michael Findley, also numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
