Barbara Zook was born in Pattonville, Pa., in July 1836. Was married to John J. Jordan in 1852 and to them were born ten children, five of whom survive her, three boys and two girls.
Mr. and Mrs. Jordan moved to Nebraska in the spring of 1875 and purchased the farm they have since resided upon.
Deceased was an earnest member of the German Baptist church. The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. Mr. Rothrock and Rev. Mr. Hiney of Davenport. Mrs. Jordan was a highly respected woman and leaves many friends to mourn her death. She was a good wife and a loving mother and her kindness will be long remembered by all.
