HOMER GRANVILLE LIVELY, 76, passed into the arms of his saviour, Tuesday December 4, 2001, in Houston, Texas. Born June 30, 1925 to the late Homer Littleton and Carrie Lively.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Earl and Coy Lively.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn, their daughters Angelia Evelyn Wahrenberger and husband Ken, Sandy Hoiden, Iris Kathleen Story and husband Mike and Robin N. Lively, his brother Truitt and wife Barbara, sisters, Doris Bell and husband Paten, and sister Gerry Lively.
Five grandchildren were a source of everlasting pride: Mike Hoiden II and wife Jennifer, Gretchen Evelyn Hoiden, Cameron Michelle Story, Addison Michael Story and Mason Michaela Story. Mr. Lively also enjoyed the company of his great-grandchild Kailey Hoiden, all of Houston,Texas.
His passions in life were his Lord and his family. And, of course, his garage sales. He settled in Houston in 1945 after a stint in the Army, training as a Flight Navigator for the invasion of Japan. He retired in 1982 and then went all out playing with his auction boxes. He was a devoted father and well loved. He touched the lives of all he met and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas (281-445-0050) on Thursday, December 6 at 11:00 A.M.
