Daddy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 14 at Corinth Baptist Church, now Faith Baptist Church in Abilene. Daddy was a very patriotic man all of his life. His saying was, (God+ Family + Country. Daddy could not stand to be idle and bought many vehicles, repaired, and resold them. During his spare time he, "dumpster dived" to find many hidden treasures as he referred to them!! Daddy had and imagination like no one else.......that was just our Daddy. He was one to never waste anything including including cardboard and always had a use for duct tape and electrical tape. He even had a sign made to read, "Customized One of a Kind by C.H. Blanks". Daddy also had a strong passion for animals and would not let one go hungry.

Preceding Daddy were his beloved parents, Charlie and Lessie Blanks; three sisters, including Maria Faye Alexander; two brothers; one niece, LaTricia Alexander; and his lifelong best friend, Gene Davis.
