Death of Alice J. Hollingsworth

Miss Alice J. Hollingsworth, daughter of H. Hollingsworth of this city, died in Oakland on Wednesday, the 23th inst. She was a native of Oregon, aged 24 years, 4 months and 6 days. The young lady was raised in Yountville and was widely and favorably known in that vicinity. She was a bright, intelligent, beautiful girl, greatly beloved in her circle of acquaintances. She had never enjoyed the best of health, being delicate from childhood. Interment was made in the Yountville cemetery, where the funeral services were held on Friday, immediately following the arrival of the up train. Rev. H. C. Waddell, pastor of tbe Christian ohurch in this city, officiated, and spoke words eulogistic of the deceased and comforting to the bereaved. Mr. H. Hollingsworth hereby desires to extend his heartfelt thanks to the kind people of Yountvile and vicinity who tendered sympathy and aid in his sorrow.
