Clifford H. Chilton, 79 of Middletown died on Saturday evening April 16, 2005 at Garden Manor Retirement Village. He was born in Wabash, In on February 17, 1926 to Loudye and Bannie (Voils) Chilton.

Mr. Chilton retired from General Electric in Evendale in 1985 after 35 years of service. He was a Navy Veteran having spent eight years in the service. He had lived in West Chester for 53 years, and was a life member of the Middletown Sportsmans Club.

He is survived by a daughter Connie L. Deaton, Trenton, two grandchildren; Amanda M. (Dayton) Johnson, Middletown, Micah B. Deaton, Trenton, a great granddaughter; Torrance A. Johnson, one brother Lawrence Chilton, five sisters; Henrietta (Roger) Berry, Audrey Bales Lavey, Barbara (Everett) Engle, Nina (Keith) Kelley, and Sandra (Carl) Elder; a special friend Carolyn Russell, Middletown.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret E. Chilton 1989, sister Maxine Franklin, and three brothers William, Clyde & Richard Chilton.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Drive) .Visitation Tuesday from 6-8 pm, and Wednesday, one hour prior to the service from 9 - 10 am, at the funeral home. Interment at Union Township Cemetery, W. Chester, Oh. Graveside Military Services by the American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cinti, Oh 45203.
