Anna Pecoraro was born on 23 March 1874, in Palazzo Adriano, Sicily, to Atanasio Pecoraro and Maria Chiaramonte. She married Bartolomeo Canzoneri, in Palazzo Adriano, in July 1892. Together they had five children: Matilde, Nicolo, Maria, Concetta, and Joseph. Following her husband, she immigrated to the United States in 1901, arriving at Ellis Island on June 19th, with her daughter Matilde. They settled in the town of Pueblo, Colorado. Later she moved to Los Angeles, California.
