Ronald "Jack" Hamilton, 71, of Hersey passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. He was born in Green Township on January 22, 1942, the son of Roger and Lucile (Pion) Hamilton. Jack was a tool and die maker and had worked at Hanchetts, Benedicts, Evart Products, Big Rapids Products, and Michigan Knife. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden.

Jack is survived by his companion, Peggy McGuire, mother Lucille, two children, Bryan (Leanne) Hamilton of Reed City, Linda (Jeff) Schultz of Big Rapids, seven grandchildren, Michele (Bill), Shawna (John), Christina (Cody), Erika (Brad), Laci, Kody, Bradley and Chris and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Bonnie Luce, Judy (Dick) Hurst, Barbara Rogers and Marlene (David) Hurst plus several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, also brother-in-law, Harold Luce.
