Granddaughter of Don Francisco de Haro, first alcalde of Yerba Buena (later, San Francisco), California, and his wife Emiliana de los Reyes Sanchez de Haro.
Daughter of Don and Dona de Haro's youngest child, Alonzo de Haro. Her father Alonzo was orphaned as a child.
Carlotta outlived all of her eight siblings.
"Lottie" married Samuel Hancock Adamson, and was the mother of two before her untimely death. Her husband divorced her between 1920 and 1930, and was remarried at the time of the 1930 U.S. census.
The 1930 U.S. census showed that, on April 30, 1930, she was a resident at the Stockton State Hospital (formerly know as the Stockton Insane Asylum).
The death notice for her last remaining sibling, her brother Victor de Haro:
DE HARO - In Mayfield, Cal., May 19, 1929, Victor DeHaro, beloved husband of Sarah DeHARO, stepfather of Mrs. Lila B. SMITH of San Francisco and Wesley W. ROSS of Mayfield, brother of Mrs. Lottie ADAMSON of San Francisco, a native of Hayward, Cal.
Funeral will be held today (Tuesday) May 21, 1929 at 2:30 p.m. in Tinney funeral home, Palo Alto. Interment Alta Mesa cemetery.
