Ophie Earl Dye, 69, of South Charleston, died Tuesday, February 3, 1959, in Charleston, West Virginia, after a long illness (Uremia).
He was a retired employee of Westvaco Chemical, where he was a line walker.
His survivors include: his wife, Stella; three sons: Charles and Bill of South Charleston and Virgil of Scott Depot; six daughters: Freda Young of South Charleston; Katherine Starkcy of Charleston; Beatrice Smith of Spring Hill; Juanita Dye, at home; Bernice Hales of Fayetteville, NC and Pauline Ashworth of Ruth; a brother, Henry Jefferson "Jeff" Dye of Big Springs; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
