Madeline N. Swain was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She passed on July 3, 2021 at the age of 95. Born to Minnie and Frederick Cain on October 6, 1925, Madeline grew up in Kaka'ako with her four brothers and two sisters. At 17, she got married to Clyde J. Swain in January of 1943 and together they had six children.
Madeline was predeceased by Clyde, as well as sons, Anthony C. Swain and Matthew M. Swain. She is survived by sons, Clyde P. Swain (Paulette) and Michael J. Swain (Lani), and daughters, Bernadette Chamizo and Kathleen Swain; in addition to her fourteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Madeline was a devoted and well-loved mother and wife who will be missed dearly. She will live in our hearts forever.
