YOUNG MOTHER PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Death Comes For Mrs. Rita Quinlan Here Wednesday
Leaving motherless a baby, 3 months of age, Mrs. Rita Kathleen Quinlan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Denney of this city, passed away at her parents' home here last Wednesday morning, after a prolonged illness.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at the Nazarene church, with the Rev. J. L. Pierce officiating. Interment will be in Olive cemetery.
Besides the baby, Mrs. Quinlan is survived by her parents, five brothers and a sister; Russell, Daryl, Eugene, Lloyd, Eldon and Thelma Ruth Denney. She was aged 19 years and nine months, the eldest of the family of brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Quinlan was born at Seymour, Mo., and lived there until coming, with her parents, to this city thirteen years ago. She graduated from the local schools. In 1927 she was married here to Amos Quinlan, and later moved with him to Oklahoma, where Mr. Quinlan had been manager of a grocery store. Her health was poor, however, and last July Mr. Denney went east and brought her back to Lindsay with him. Her strength failed steadily and her passing was not a surprise to the many friends of the Denney family who knew of the losing fight she was making.
