She married the love of her life, Jerry Don Hurlocker, in September of 1977, in Poteau, Oklahoma. Mary was a Certified Nurses Assistant, serving twenty-one faithful years with Brookwood Nursing and Rehab in De Queen. She attended the Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Watson, Oklahoma, and was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Mary enjoyed gospel music, word search puzzles, eating with her family and friends, watching the Little House on the Prairie and Walker Texas Ranger, Eagles, wolves, her puppy – Shiloh, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Laverne Watson; her loving husband, Jerry Hurlocker, Sr.; a son, Ollie Wayne Hurlocker; a grandson, Kalob Chance Cook; three sisters, Virginia Johnson, Doris Gonzalez, and Shirley Rosas; a brother, George Watson; and a nephew, Andrew Shane Sanchez.
Mary leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughter, Roberta (Wes Green) Cook of De Queen; son, Jerry Hurlocker, Jr. of De Queen; three grandchildren, Taryn (Colby) Brown of Fountain Lake, Kelsey Cook of De Queen, and McKayla (Nick) Tillery of Fountain Lake; three great-grandchildren, Levi, Ella, and Charlotte Brown of Fountain Lake; one brother, Aaron (Courtesy) Watson of Broken Bow; three sisters, Arabella (Juan) Sanchez of De Queen, Daisy Watson of Watson, LaQuita Watson of De Queen; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Hurlocker will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Buffalo Presbyterian Church, Watson, Oklahoma, with Bro. Nathan Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery in Watson.
