Ardmore- Funeral Services for Mr. Terry Weldon Cryer, 71, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Chickasaw Honor Guard Team.

Terry was born on June 26, 1950 at Ardmore to Mr. Lonnie Weldon Cryer and Mrs. Bonnie Lois (Moxley) Cryer. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Love County Hospital in Marietta.

Terry was raised in Ardmore where he enjoyed attending school. He voluntarily joined the United Sates Army during the Vietnam War, as part of the "Buddy System" with the late Mr. Charles Newsom. Terry served honorably for one tour of Vietnam and returned home to Ardmore, where he initially found employment at Uniroyal. Not too long afterwards, Terry became a truck driver and worked for several companies throughout the years as an over the road trucker. Currently he was driving for Heartland Express and was hoping to get back to work soon.

Terry married the love of his life, the former Debbie Vanderburg on June 24, 2000 at her brother Ronnie's place in Dickson. They just recently shared 21 years of happiness together always residing in Ardmore. Terry loved to play golf, primarily at Lakeview Golf Course in Ardmore. His everyday golfing buddies were Tom Ingram and Anthony Little. Terry was saved many years ago at the Crystal Rock Cathedral Church of Ardmore where he worshiped and was a member.

Those preceding him are his father, Mr. Lonnie Cryer; son, Mark Cryer and a sister, Linda Conyer.

Survivors include his loving wife Debbie of the home and her son, Trevor J. Allen of Dickson; mother, Bonnie Cryer of Ardmore; son, Matt Elmore of Norman; brother, Calvin Cryer and wife Liz of New Mexico; sisters, Deborah Rushing, Vicky McCaskill, Hedy Cornish, all of Ardmore, Helen Kyle and husband Larry of Lone Grove and Marsha Clark and husband Eric of Dickson; 2 grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers are Calvin Cryer, Eric Clark, Anthony Little, Bobby Clements, Kendel Kyle and Kody Kyle.

Honorary bearers are Steve "Big Bird" Price, Danny McClendon, Garris Buckaloo and Price Buckaloo.
