She graduated from Loretto Academy and went on to work for the Federal government. In 1949, she married Ross Lujan and they had one daughter. Employed at the Federal Employees Federal Credit Union for over 25 years, she retired as an Assistant Manager. Elvira acquired many friendships in her career that remained for the rest of her life.
One of her great passions was being a member of La Sociedad Folklorica. Her years as a member enabled her to participate and organize the yearly fashion show during the Fiesta de Santa Fe. She enlisted various friends and family to model.
Elvira was an active and dedicated member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and taught religious education for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Lujan; father, Lorenzo Trujillo; mother, Rafelita (Portillo); and her siblings: Elisa Trujillo, Ernestine Farrar, Micki Jewett, Tobias (Benny) Trujillo, Cecilia Adams, and Lorenzo (Larry) Trujillo, Jr.
Elvira is survived by her daughter, Ana Lujan Brady (John); granddaughter, Karrie Receconi; grandson, Marc Lujan; sister, Ruth Romero; great-granddaughters, Isabella, Sofia, and Portia Receconi.
