Rex Moore, 84, died Nov. 21, 2007 and Geraldine Moore, 83, died Nov. 22, 2007 at Trinity Regional Medical Center, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at Gunderson Funeral Chapel. In honoring Rex's wishes, his body will be cremated. Interment services will be held in Holiday Creek Cemetery with full military honors presented by the VFW Post 1856. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Rex Moore was born April 3, 1923, in Humboldt to Harold and Lena (Claus) Moore. He completed his high school education. Rex served in the US Army during WWII serving in the European Theater in Germany and France.

Geraldine Stufflebean was born June 15, 1924 in St. Joe, Mo. to Admiral Dewey and Vuela (Geitz) Stufflebean. She attended Fort Dodge schools.

On Feb. 6, 1943 the couple was united in marriage at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. They made their home and raised their family in Fort Dodge. Rex was employed with Goodyear for a number of years and later worked at Archer's as a service manager, retiring in 1998. Geraldine was a homemaker and enjoyed doing child care. The couple enjoyed being with family, ballroom dancing and shopping together. Rex served as Emergency Service Coordinator and instructor for Hamm radio. Geraldine enjoyed gardening, baking, and decorating, especially for holidays.

Immediate family includes their children Patty (Harold) Powell of Atlantic, Sharon Wendell, Rex Moore, Danny (Cathy) Moore, all of Fort Dodge and Billy Moore of Manson; twelve grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. They were preceded in death by two granddaughters Kelly Martins and Heather Moore.

Rex is also survived by his siblings Johnny, Luella, Mary, Joanne and Shirley; his brother-in-law Charles Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Moore and Lena and William Claus; his siblings Donella Moore Parks, Bernard Claus and Ronnie Claus.

Geraldine is also survived by her sister Colleen (Robert) Wolff of Spirit Lake and brother-in-law Aaron Montgomery of Otho. She was preceded in death by her parents Admiral Dewey and Vuela Stufflebean, her siblings Juanita (Einar) Anderson, Admiral Dewey Jr. (Betty Lee) Stufflebean, Winona Montgomery, and Bette (Garth) Witte.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

A second person has died as a result of a crash on U.S. Highway 169 in Fort Dodge Wednesday night.

Geraldine Moore, 83, of Manson, died Thursday at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.

Her husband, Rex Moore, 84, died Wednesday night at the hospital.

They were the only people in the vehicle.

Rex Moore was driving a 1996 Mercury Villager south on the highway when it went into the median and rolled several times. He was ejected from the vehicle, according to state troopers. The crash happened at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday near Avenue G.

A native of Humboldt, Rex Moore worked for Goodyear and was the service manager for Archer Audio, Video and Appliance Center in Fort Dodge until he retired in 1998.

Geraldine Moore was born in Missouri and grew up in Fort Dodge. She was a stay-at-home mother known for her gardening, baking and holiday decorating.

They had five children, 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren
