Pineville, May 15.--A very sad death occurred in Pineville yesterday. Mr. S. M. Hargett died of typhoid pneumonia. He was only 32 years old, and leaves a wife and four little children. He leaves, also, an aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Hargett, and three brothers and a sister. Mr. Hargett was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church. The pastor, Rev. J. R. McAlpine, was absent in a meeting, and as he could not reach here to-day, Rev. W. P. McGee conducted the funeral services at the home, assisted by Rev. A. L. Stough.
