Marjorie P. Hendricks, 86, originally from Weaverville, N.C., was the Lord and our Savior's newest addition to heaven Nov. 19, 2007. Marjorie was reared on a farm near Asheville, N.C., with five brothers and three sisters. She then married George S. Hendricks of the U.S. Navy in 1944 and made their home in Virginia Beach. Through years of her love and devotion, Marjorie has made an immeasurable impact on her family and friends! She is survived by three children, Janice Hendricks, Linda Morrison and David Hendricks and his wife Sandy, who has been an extraordinary help and a wonderful spiritual inspiration for our mother. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Tom, Dana, Kari, Michelle, Kelli, Heidi, Julie, Shea, Jenny and Kody; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 4889 Princess Anne Road. A graveside service will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in the Garden of States. Flowers or donations to the American Heart Association will be accepted.
