Jeanne L. (McElvain) Abbruzzese, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. She was the wife of the late Victor E. Abbruzzese. Born in Palmer, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Ward and Fae (Utterback) McElvain. Mrs. Abbruzzese was a nursing home administrator and owner of the former Diamond Hill Nursing Center for 30 years before retiring in 2002. She lived in Johnston for 40 years before moving to Glocester in 2006.
She was the mother of Robert Abbruzzese, Sr. and his wife Patricia of West Warwick, Sharon Raso and her husband Anthony of Glocester and the late Eugene and Gary Abbruzzese. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and sister.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 8:30am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston
