Mrs. Shirley Ann Aspinwall Peacock, age 75, of Offerman, passed away Thursday evening (8/5/21) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup following an extended illness.

Born August 7, 1945 she was a daughter of the late Mage and Ela Mae Sloan Aspinwall. She lived all of her life in Pierce County and was a graduate of Patterson High School. She had worked as a private babysitter for several years, was a bookkeeper for the family business, and worked many years at Julie Hat Company in Patterson. She had also worked as a substitute teacher in the Pierce County School System for a few years.

A member of Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Jesup, she was active in all of the church activities and served on the Cleaning Committee. She also regularly attended at several other churches with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Marie Peacock; her brother, Bobby Aspinwall, and the father of her children, John Wayne Peacock.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Beverly Brickhouse (husband Steve) of Elizabeth City, NC, Pam Harrell (husband Pastor David) of Patterson, Tina Corbitt (husband Rev. Scott) of Brunswick, Kimberly Johnson of Patterson; 6 grandchildren, Kaitlin Stevens (husband Jessie) of Hoboken, Roman Harrell (wife Ashley) of Prattville, Alabama, Candace Belcher (husband Nicholas), Jason Corbitt (wife Erica), and Kyle Johnson, all of Brunswick, and Kinsley Tanner (husband Wesley), of Picayune, Mississippi; 8 great grandchildren, Madi Boyett, MaKenzie Boyett, and Ella Stevens, all of Hoboken, Brooklyn, Briana, and Breely Harrell, all of Prattville, Alabama, Jordan Belcher of Brunswick, and Delena Tanner of Picayune, Mississippi; her sister, Barbara Morgan of Blackshear; the "son" she never had, Jason Tyre (wife Heather) of Offerman; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Sunday afternoon (8/8/21) at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Jesup. Burial will follow in Waters Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday (8/7/21) from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
