PEA RIDGE -- Martha Elizabeth Escue, 70, of Pea Ridge died Nov. 20, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville. She was born March 27, 1937, at Lowell to Harley Wayne and Mary Clinton Shackelford Wharton. She married Keith Escue on Oct. 25, 1957. She moved to Pea Ridge in 1959 from Springdale. She was a receptionist for Jones Truck lines, Daisy Manufacturing and Boozman-Hof Regional Eye Clinic and was a clerk at Pea Ridge Outlet. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bentonville. She was a bluegrass bass player for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Keith Escue of the home; one son, the Rev. Douglas K. Escue and Laura of Santa Fe, N.M.; one sister, Mary Ella Mabry of Springdale; two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Todd Jones and the Rev. Neil Vanderbush officiating. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery.
