Forrest R. "Dutch" Bartley, age 87, of Mokane, Missouri passed away on July 31, 2021 on July 31, 2021.
Butch was born March 31, 1934, in rural Callaway County, Missouri, the son of Paris Bartley and Marie (Brooks) Bartley.
Dutch was a proud member of the United States Army and served in Germany. For many years he worked as a machinist for Danuser Machine Company. Dutch had a great love for the land and nature.
Dutch farmed for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening. and was also a very talented wood carver and he was pleased to be able to share his wares with friends and neighbors with friends and neighbors. Dutch was a member of Hams Prairie Christian Church.
Dutch will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Marilyn "Kay" ; Humphrey (John) of Mokane, Missouri; nieces, and nephews, Kenneth Bartley (Diane), Noland Bartley (Tammy), Roland Bartley (Tina), Donna Eames (Jerry), Pat Bartley (Marilyn) and Darren Humphrey.
In addition to his parents, Paris and Marie, Dutch was preceded in death by brothers, Monroe Bartley and his wife, Mary Ruth, Donald Bartley and his wife, Melba; sister, Carolyn Lehman and her husband, Harold; infant sister, Janice Sue Bartley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hams Prairie Church Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
