Mary B. Jannusch, 65, of 2728 James St. died Tuesday at University Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Milwaukee, Mrs. Jannusch lived in Syracuse since 1987. She retired in 1987 after many years as a long-distance operator with Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co.
Mrs. Jannusch was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Eastwood Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Patterson of Syracuse; a brother, Andrew Johnston of Anaheim, Calif.; a sister, Marjorie Wharton of Tallmadge, Ohio; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, the Rev. Thomas Davis officiating. Burial arrangements are incomplete.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 3111 James St.
