Mary Ideana Abbott Greer passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, peacefully with the love of her family surrounding her. She was born October 20, 1934 in Mesquite, Nevada to Lemuel Raymond Abbott and Leah Reber. She moved to Kuna, Idaho in 1944 where she graduated from Kuna High School. She met the love of her life, Paul Joseph Greer at Simplot, where they both were working.
On April 21, 1955, they got married in the St. George Utah Temple. She worked for the Nampa School District as a cook for many years, before she retired. She was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Sunday School teacher for the young children. Mary enjoyed baking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Greer and John Greer both of Nampa, Idaho. Sisters; Leila Redetzke, Sheila (Larry) Huttash, Erva (Gary) Reamsbottom. Seven grandkids and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Greer and son, Larry Greer. Sisters; Trisha Blades, Sydna Bohnet, Izetta Tidwell; brother, David Abbott; and her parents Raymond and Leah Abbott.
We would like to thank Dr. Freeman for taking amazing care of her for many years. We also thank Treasure Valley Hospice and Karcher Estates for taking care of her in her last days. Also, a huge thank you to DaVita for their love and support.
