Mrs. Charles N. (Ida) Gerard, 89, a resident at 119 Edwards St., died at St. Francis Hospital, Sept. 6, 1964, where she had been a patient for one year. Death followed a long illness.
Mrs. Gerard was born in Chilton, Wis., March 26, 1875, the daughter of Alexander and Susan Besat. She attended schools in Wisconsin.
Her marriage to Mr. Gerard took place March 31, 1896 at Chilton. She had lived in Kewanee 28 years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday Sept 9 in the Cavanaugh and Schueneman Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Ellson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiated. Interment was in Osceola Grove cemetery.
