Mrs. Mamie Philhower, 91, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, February 8, 1981, at Kewanee Convalescent Center. Born Feb. 7, 1890, in Neenah, Wis., she was a daughter of Alexander and Emma Jane Hale Besat. She married Guy Philhower June 4, 1912, in Toulon. He died August 7, 1980.
She was a retired certified public accountant and was employed by Fuertges Brothers, Bradford, Ill.
Surviving are two sons, Don Philhower of Beason and Charles Philhower of Kewanee; a daughter, Mrs. Bettye Bruning of Toulon, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Two sons and an infant sister preceded her in death.
Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dunlap-McCann Funeral Home. Burial was in Bradford City Cemetery.
