He was born on Jan. 4, 1932, to the late Jules and Catherine (Kipping) Laurent.
He graduated from Casco High School.
Howard married the former Elaine Roznowski on May 30, 1953.
He was employed by Anamax for over 20 years until his retirement.
During retirement he enjoyed working part time at Austin's. Howard enjoyed sports, working in his garden, and family gatherings with a good card game. His grandchildren were a very important part of his life. He attended many of their activities, and a good tease was not far behind.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine;
three daughters: Lisa (David) Oettinger, Green Bay; Pam (Quint) Herlache, Green Bay; and Katie (Rick) Van Schyndel, Black Creek, WI;
two sons, Rodney, Green Bay, WI and Steven (Laura);
daughter-in-law, Pam Laurent, Green Bay;
ten grandchildren: Michelle, Nathan and special friend, Meghan, Logan, Alixe (Tahir), Parker, Matthew, Andrew, Colbie, Zachary, and Noah;
two sisters: Grace (Goldie) Thiry and Betty Challe;
sister-in-law; Emily Laurent.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dean;
four brothers: Walter, Little Johnny, Johnny, and Alois;
two sisters, Virginia Deprey and Fernmae Boucher;
two sisters-in-law, Lucy Laurent and Laura Laurent;
three brothers-in-law, Alvin Deprey, Joe Challe and Ray Boucher;
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Evelyn Roznowski;
brother-in-law, Private First Class Rodney Roznowski.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Parish wake service 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., with the Rev. David Pleier officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Catholic Chapel Mausoleum.
