Buried 29 December 1733. A spinster, prostitue and pirate who lived primarily in Nassau, New Providence Island, The Bahamas from 1716 until around 1720. She was never married, but was the girlfriend of John Rackham. Became pregnant in August 1720, but unknown what happened to her baby. She stood trial on 28 November 1720 in Port Royal, Jamaica and found guilty of piracy. It is thought that she was later released (and verbally pardoned) by Governor Nicholas Lawes in 1721 due to her pregnancy. Ann lived out the next few years of her life in Kingston, Jamaica and then finally moved to Spanish Town, Jamaica where she died.Pirate. Partner of Calico Jack. Jack and Bonny met around 1717. She was a good friend to fellow pirate Mary Read. Jack, Bonny, and Read were captured in 1720. Jack was sentenced to death while Bonny and Read were sent to prison. After 1720 no record of Anne Bonny was ever recorded. It is said that her father ransomed her. It is also said that she married Joseph Burleigh on December 21st 1721. They had 8 children. It is said that she died in South Carolina in 1782 at the age of 84. Her burial location is unknown.
