**This memorial is for a LIVING individual**

Ronald was the third child (of eight) and eldest son of George and Mildred (Cooper) Gadzalinski. His sister Diane was born and died one year earlier in April 1958 (premature baby).

Ron graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in Milwaukee in June 1977 and from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Finance BBA degree in May 1981.

Ron started a civil service career as a Milwaukee County government employee on April 1, 1985. He became a proud Deputy Court Clerk in Jan. 1997.

On September 6, 1986, Ron, age 27, was united in marriage to Suzette (LaCorte) Mauro (b. Oct. 1956) at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Milwaukee. It was Suzette's second marriage. She was married to John C. Mauro from July 1977 to August 1982 and they had one daughter together, Nicole, born Dec. 1980. Nicole was legally adopted by Ron on October 24, 1989.

Ron and Suzette had three children born during their marriage; Kevin, born Oct. 1987, Brian, born July 1990, and Sarah, born Oct. 1992. Ron and his wife purchased a Cape Cod home at 4851 N. 55th Street in Milwaukee where the family lived and the children were raised, along with the family dog Jasper, from April 1987 to Sept. 2002. Ron and Suzie were separated from Sept. 2000 to Sept. 2002. On Sept. 16, 2004, after 18 years of marriage, Ron and Suzette were divorced.

Ron resigned from Milwaukee County in October 2005, after more than 20 years of dedicated service.

Ron discovered his true sexuality (bisexual) in May 2004, and then, in December 2006, moved to Tampa, Florida to live with his first male partner. This relationship ended in December 2009.

On May 1, 2007, Ron began employment at New York Life / AARP Operations in Tampa, Florida. He held this professional and rewarding call center career until Nov. 2019; working as a Claims Support, Customer Service and Conservation Representative.

In April 2011, Ron met his partner Arthur Edick (b. June 1973) in Sarasota. They began living together in Tampa on July 2, 2011 and had a civil service Commitment ceremony in Temple Terrace, FL on December 31, 2011 with friends and family in attendance. Ron and Art enjoyed the companionship ofJinks and Jinjer; their two mixed breed dogs. On June 30, 2015, Ron and Art moved to a duplex in Lakeland, FL, and then, proudly, to their own manufactured home in a 55+ community in Dade City, FL on January 30, 2021. They were planning on eventually living their final years together in eastern Tennessee but, sadly, after 10 years together, Art unexpectedly passed away on June 25, 2021 at the age 48.

Ron also suffered the devastating loss of his firstborn grandson, Tyler Gadzalinski, at two months of age, on Feb. 12, 2015.

He was the loving grandpa to Anthony Gadzalinski (b. Dec. 2015) and was blessed to have son Brian and Anthony live with him and Art in Lakeland from Dec. 2016 to April 2019.

From January-March and June-September of 2020, Ron worked in life insurance sales on commission. He obtained his professional Florida life insurance license in Sept. 2007 and his health insurance license in July 2020. Ron also worked as a 2020 US Census enumerator from August to October 2020. On Dec. 30, 2020, Ron, age 61, took early retirement and started collecting a monthly pension in January 2021. In May 2023 he started his last job with DialAmerica in Port Richey. Retired on May 24, 2024.

Ron married John Schultz (b. 24 Dec. 1954) on 12 October 2024 at Indian Rocks Beach in Pinellas County. They made their home in Dade City, Florida. They shared many similar interests and were ideal together in their happy marriage.

Ron loved family and ancestry and had a lifelong passion for the hobby of genealogy. He created an extensive and detailed family tree on Ancestry.com and created many memorials here on Findagrave. He had a remarkable memory for important dates of family members and ancestors and he was proud of his 50% Polish nationality. Ron was also a passionate pipe and cigar smoker (since April 1998) which gave him great pleasure and relaxation. He loved good food (especially seafood) and drinks (especially wine and bourbon) and was happiest in a comfortable, clean, and peaceful home. His favorite colors were purple and teal. Other hobbies and interests included: chatting with friends on social Media (Facebook), bowling, reading (especially suspense authors like Dean Koontz, Sherlock Holmes mysteries, historical fiction and biographies), astrology, musicals, football (Green Bay Packers fan), nature walks, animals, history, trivia, stamp collecting (especially from the 1970s to the 1990s) and art (coloring, drawing and painting). He also enjoyed displaying his collection of teddy bears. Ron enjoyed a variety of music genres and owned many LP albums and CD's of his favorite recording artists (some of which included Barbra Streisand, The Carpenters, ABBA, Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Garth Brooks, Michael Buble', Josh Groban, Elvis, and many more).

Ron could be described as an intelligent, quiet and serious man (he was shy as a boy) who did his best to follow a good, tenacious, and steadfast path throughout his life. With a great love for family, Ron felt truly enriched as a son, brother, father and grandfather. Ron was blessed with a life with a loving family, good health, and good friends. He was trustworthy, loyal, organized, patient, easy-going and down-to-earth, but also, as a Taurus, could be somewhat stubborn and somewhat lazy at times. Ron had a warm and loving heart and was full of kindness towards others; slow to anger and easy to forgive.
