She was known for her love for the Lord and everyone she ever met. She loved baking cookies for everyone. One of her favorite quotes was, "Jesus first, cookies second." She was a powerhouse of love and a pillar of strength. "She taught us all how to navigate the world in the most genuine way. Her legacy will remain with all of us, as she touched our lives and left an indelible imprint of care, deeds, and lessons taught." The measure of her life can be found in her character, her joy, and her courage to fight. She loved caring for the downtrodden and sharing hope.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Gwendolyn S. (Brian) Arbuckle of Shipshewana and Vicky A. Griffin of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda J. (Terry) Wills, Janet (Mike) Walters; four brothers, Jim (Karen) Murphy, George (Rita) Murphy, Lonnie (Barb) Cox, and Joe (Brenda) Cox.
She is rejoicing in Heaven with her parents; daughter, Pamela J Griffin; son, Bruce Steele Griffin; grandson, Justin A. Griffin; and sister, Vi Brenner; along with many other family members.
