Elaine N. Healy, age 99, of Gobles, passed away on October 4, 2020, at Meadow Woods Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 21, 1920, in Otsego, MI, the daughter of Fred and Elsie Floy Russon. She was a graduate of Otsego High School. After her graduation, she went to work for Coca Cola in Kalamazoo. Elaine was married to Marshall Healy, whom she married on August 22, 1942. She was a homemaker for much of her life. She loved to cook and can vegetables from her garden. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, and loved to go dancing. She had to watch Wheel of Fortune every night, snacking on popcorn, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her friends and taking care of her family.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Barbara Melberg of Sun City, AZ, and a son, Roger Healy of Gobles; grandchildren, Dana Heideman of Columbia, SC, Joseph (Tammy) Ritenour of Surprise, AZ, Christopher (Shay Sontze) Ritenour of San Diego, CA; Rebecca (Matt) Miller of Hopkins, Sarah (Chris) Roberts of Grand Junction, Diane (Jesse) Gilbert of Gobles, Tiffany (Tony) Troher of Wayland, Rachael (Ryan Covey) Berry of Hopkins and Jimmy Walker of Punta Gorda, FL; great-grandchildren, Josh Webb, Kalee (Myles Jones) Webb, Austin (Cosette) Walker, Alyssa (Robert) Wieser, Jacob Ritenour, Spencer, and Sophia Miller, Lily, Anthony and Jeffrey Laws, Tristan Roberts, Lauren Healy, Ethan and Lila Rose Berry, and baby-girl Covey; 5 great-great grandchildren; a sister, R. Darlene Arnold of Litchfield Park, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Marsha (Heideman) Hill; and her siblings, Luella Brown, Leon Russon, Florence McNutt, Marjorie Oisten, and Margaret Brouwer.
Family will meet friends on Monday, October 12, from 11 to 1 PM at the Bloomingdale Christian Church where a funeral service will follow at 1 PM. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery.
