In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill"

Our beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, and devoted father Anthony Wayne Butcher suddenly was called home to rest on July 17, 2021. He was born on September 28, 1982, to his mother the late Belinda Renee Butcher, and his father Anthony Wayne Hines.

Mr. Butcher was preceded in death by his mother Belinda Renee Butcher, his sister Makeshia Renee Butcher, unconditionally loved and devoted friend "DOGG JIGGA", his brother Antonio "Tony" Alli, grandfather Rufus Gordon and Wilbert Hines. Grandmother Leora Hines. Uncle Percy Butcher and Wilbert "Jack" Hines, Cousins Wilbert "Kool" Ripley, Ronnie Butcher, Glen Butcher, and Roosevelt Saunders. Aunts Brenda Joyce Hines, Wilma Jones.

Anthony was affectionately known as "Hank" to everyone. He attended Petersburg Public School Systems. Everything he learned he taught those who were around him. Hank was a leader, he was motivated, passionate, confident, and has always had a vision. He wanted everyone to excel and succeed.

Hank was a charismatic, handsome, gentle giant with a kind spirit and big heart. His presence commanded attention wherever he went. Hank would go above and beyond especially for his family and all of those to who he took a liking to. He is very family-oriented, was everyone's protector and he prided himself in that.

Hank loved being around his friends, enjoying each other's company, laughing, cracking jokes, and being the light of our lives. Hank was a jokester. He received his certificate from ACE BOATER SCHOOL.

Hank will leave to cherish his memory, his father Anthony Wayne Hines and devoted son Anthony "Ant" Bryant Bolling, and his loving mother Mya Bolling. A beloved son Rashad "Bubs" Chambliss and his youngest son Hassan Miller; Devoted brother Raheem Butcher (Kameshia), sister Demetria "Dee Dee" Butcher (Kwame) Marco Harrison (LaMeka), cousin-brother Rafael "Noon" Saunders and baby brother Levin; his devoted grandmother; Dottie Butcher-Gordon; grandfather, Randall Buford (Teresa) and John "Fatman" Holleman(Geneva) Who were most precious to him; his nieces and nephews: Marco "MJ" Jr, D'Ziyah, Ke'Arriah, Aniyah, Jaekwon, Rayne, Raheem, Jonese, Maya, Kyser, Hollywood, JJ, Antonio "TJ" Alli and a great-niece, Khaliya Renee Phillips; six godchildren, Rymonta Deon Graves, Leilani Mezirah Graves, Ayanah Smith, Ni'Cere Brown, Brandon "Lil B" Marshall, and Honesti Morton.

Also left to cherish his memories are his Aunts and Uncles: Gwendolyn Price, Carolyn Johnson, William Johnson Jr, Larry Johnson (Princess), Harry Johnson, Sr. (Freda), Raymond Johnson, Susie Warren (Stanley), Susan King (Elijah) Sylvia Davis (Wayne); David "Dee Magichands" Johnson, Kim Saunders, Delvaz Saunders, Antione Saunders, The Ruffin Family, The Hines Family and a numerous amount of cousins, other family members will continue to treasure his memory.

Hank will also be deeply remembered by his devoted friends who he considered his brothers. He was beloved by his attorney Mr. David Power.

Hank was loved and admired by countless people throughout the City of Petersburg, especially The Delectable Heights and also his Hillside Court Family in Richmond. Hank taught us all to never complain and live life to the fullest. We were all blessed to learn many valuable lifelong lessons from Hank during his 38 precious years God loaned him to us.

Hank now has given this precious gift of life back. His passing is an incredible loss to us all, one that will affect our lives forever. There is no doubt that this is hard, but Hank led an incredible life with an extraordinary existence and for this we should all be grateful.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 24, 2021 at 12 Noon at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 800 Augusta Avenue, Petersburg, Virginia. Burial will follow at the Dinwiddie Memorial Park.

Public viewing will be held on Friday July 23, 2021 from 12 Noon to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
