Belinda Renee Gordon Butcher, of Petersburg, VA, died at the Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. A native of Petersburg, VA, she was a member of the Petersburg High School, Class of 1980. She was also a member of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Petersburg VA. Her passions were shopping, making people laugh and singing. Belinda was well known for her voice in the Tri-City areas. She was an accomplished singer and singing was the joy of her being. Belinda was voted most talented in 1977 and 1980. She also sang with Shirley Caesar, and was a member of The Peabody Follies and the Playmakers of Petersburg.

A funeral service was held at 12:00 noon, Saturday August 22, 2009 at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA. Interment in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Dinwiddie County, VA.
