Rachel Rains Villines, age 81, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Hospice of the Hills. She was born in Rambo, Arkansas on November 8, 1939 to John and Marie Rains.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; her parents; daughters Barbara Schuyler and Tonia Villines; sons Gary Villines and Wayne Villines; brothers Ben Rains, Francis Rains and Norman Rains; sister Helen Housley.

Rachel is survived by her daughter Renee Baker of Harrison, Arkansas; son Ronnie Hinkle of Salem, Oregon; sister Connie Griffin and her husband Ron of Chimes, Arkansas; brother Raburn Rains and Lena of Leslie, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.

Rachel was the proprietor of her own business, Villines Upholstery, for over 23 years. She was the Matriarch of a sprawling family that spans the entire United States. She was active even into her later years, especially bowling where her and her late husband played in all manner of different leagues. Even after his passing, she continued to play well into her 60's. Rachel enjoyed gardening and providing food for her family at family gatherings that happened multiple times a year. She was quick with a joke and was always looking to lift the spirits of others even those outside the family. Rachel spent time in recent years playing Bingo and spending time with her friends at the Senior Club in Harrison.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 26, 2021, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Reed officiating.

Burial will take place at Beechwood Cemetery in Boxley, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Cutburth, Marshall Waters, Wesley Sparks, Larry Griffin, Stacey Griffin and Sonny Villines.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tami with Home Instead and the staff of Hospice of the Hills.
