The above agrees with several other records that collectively are strong evidence that this is the grave of Mary E. (Patterson) Bonnett, wife of Washington Franklin Bonnett. (There are no records to suggest that any Bannett was living in or near Cowley County near that time.) The best explanation is that the marker itself was spelled incorrectly. Mary E. Patterson, b. Ohio. Washington Franklin Bonnett d. Kay County, OK, 1928 (memorial 66692757).
