Edward Orin White
September 18, 1942 – January 16, 2021

Draper, Utah – Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Edward Orin White, age 78, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He fought the good fight against Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease. He currently resided in Draper, Utah but always called Wayne County Utah his home. He was born on September 18, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to Orin and Inez Rees White.

Ed spent most of his growing up years in Loa, Wayne County, Utah. Even after moving to Salt Lake City in his teens, he still called Wayne County home. He graduated from Olympus High School in Salt Lake City in 1960. He joined the US Army in 1960 and continued in the Army Reserve for 8 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Diane Bateman, in 1963. They had two beautiful children, Kristin and Alan Edward. They were later divorced. He married Joan Greguhn Eaton in 1982 bringing her two children Michael Chad and Kasey Lynn into the family.

Ed worked at Hercules, Inc. in Magna, Utah for over 30 years. After he and Joan retired, he was thrilled to move back to his beloved Wayne County in the Teasdale/Torrey area to a small farm where their dream home was built. He loved puttering around the farm where he grew and sold hay for horses.

While living there, he served as the Fire Chief for the Teasdale Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He loved being the Water Master for the Hickman Valley and Dump Canal Irrigation Companies for many years. He was sad when his health forced them to sell the farm after 22 years to move back to the Salt Lake Valley, although he was glad to be closer to family.

Ed and Joan loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to the far reaches of the globe. He was devoted to his family and adored his children and grandchildren. He stayed close to his sisters and enjoyed the time he spent with his many cousins. He enjoyed learning the history of his ancestors and loved sharing the information with all his family and relatives.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan, of Draper, Utah; children: Kristin and Tracy Facer of Avon, Indiana; Alan and Marni White of Sandy, Utah; Chad Eaton of Herriman, Utah; Kasey Eaton of Herriman, Utah; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild with one on the way; sisters; Gloria (Lynn) Davis of St. George, Utah; Patricia (Steve, deceased) Thomas of Salt Lake City, Utah. Preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Harry and Harriet Greguhn; sister-in-law, Michele Rowley; and 2 brothers-in-law,Steve Thomas and Jon Howard.
