Ruth M. Purtle, 73, of 425 E. Oak died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Graham Hospital.
Born May 6, 1929, in Joy, Mo., to John Wesley and Eunice Charlotte Merrill Malone, she married Robert Dale Stone. He died in May 1966. She later married Lonnie Purtle. He died July 24, 1976.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, John Stone and Jerry (and Rita) Stone, both of Canton; and one brother, the Rev. Claude (and Betty) Malone of Rushville.
Graveside services will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
