Charles Franklin Barnett Jr., 68, died Nov. 13, 1997.

He was a native of Nashville, Tenn., and a resident of Fort Pierce for 17 years, coming from Nashville.

Mr. Barnett was vice president of Petro Refinery, and also was employed by Luria's in Fort Pierce.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a former member of Moose Lodge and V.F.W. in Fort Pierce.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lee M. Barnett of Fort Pierce; a daughter, Monica Barnett Smith of Birmingham, Ala., sons Larry S. and Michael D. Barnett, both of Fort Pierce; his mother, Myrtle Wagenstein of Port St. Lucie; a brother, John E. Barnett of Memphis, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.

SERVICES: Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today at Haisley-Hobbs Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Charles Morton officiating. Burial will be at White City Cemetery.
