Ms. Elzie Napier, age 85 wife of the late Elijah Napier of Mitchell Creek Road, London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday afternoon at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky from complications from Covid-19. She was the mother of Preston Napier and wife, Karen of Middleburg, Florida. John E. Napier and wife, Betty, Aileen Gibson and Bonnie Napier all of London, Kentucky. She was the sister of Charlie Gibson of Monticello, Kentucky, Grant Gibson of Saul, Kentucky. Molly Burns of Lily, Kentucky, Anna Mae Sams and Thelma Couch both of Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was also blessed with nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives, church family and friends to mourn her passing. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and attended the House of Prayer in Pittsburg, Kentucky. Her and her husband owned and operated the Napier Furniture and Auction Company. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Ella Jane Barger Gibson, by two brothers, Bob Gibson and Raleigh Gibson and by one sister, Lily Couch.
Funeral services for Ms. Elzie Napier will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Ray Benge officiating. Burial will follow in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky
