Roberto Acosta-Reyes, age 61, of Abilene passed away on June 26, 2021.

Roberto was born in cd. Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico on December 31, 1959, to Candelario Acosta Nava and Petra Reyes Ramos. Roberto married Mary Alice (Martinez) Acosta on January 25, 1978 in Abilene, Texas. 

For over 34 years, Roberto worked in construction and was a construction subcontractor for Bontke Brothers in Abilene. 

He was preceded in death by Candelario Nava (Father), Petra Ramos (Mother), sister, Socorro Acosta and brother Jesus Acosta.  Surviving Roberto are his wife Mary Acosta, Sons Robert Acosta Jr. and wife Andrea and Rudy Candelario Acosta and daughter Margaret Acosta Flowers and husband Carlos.  In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren Robert Anthony Acosta, Noah Flowers, Chloe Daisy Flowers and Emalily Mata as well as sisters; Hortencia Acosta, Juanita Calvo and Guadalupe Acosta and brother Raul Acosta.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, 2nd of July, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St.  Services will be held on Saturday, July  3, 2021, at  3:00 PM at Piersall Funeral Directors with Pastor Samuel Lopez officiating. Burial will be at the Abilene City Cemetery on Tuesday July 6th at 10:00 AM.
