"Mary D. Beebe, 59, Veedersburg, died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998 in her home. Born Jan. 16, 1939 in Chrisman, Ill., she was the daughter of Herman W. and Mabel Ogle Carpenter. Her first marriage was to Frank Hanson. She later married Ray Beebe Feb. 11, 1978 in Danville, Ill., who survives. She was a homemaker and co-owner of the Beebe and Son Sawmill in Veedersburg.
Survivors besides her husband include: son, Gordon (Pam) Hanson, Veedersburg; daughters, Peggy (Bob) Larkin, Harrisburg, Mo., Patricia (Steve) Karr, Arlington, Texas, Frankie (Jay) Hernandez, Veedersburg; step-daughter, Linda (Paul) Linderman, Lake Village; brothers, Don Carpenter, Valparaiso, Dale Carpenter, Covington; sisters, Norma Jean Blievernicht, Cedar Lake, June Lock, Monon, Juanita Miller, Hobart, Beverly Ballard, Perkins, Okla., Darlene Ward, Gary; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a grandson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery, Veedersburg. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today (Tuesday) in the funeral home." – Fountain County Neighbor, November 3, 1998
