Info received From Kay that David Dings is not actually buried here. He died in 1907 and is buried in Wisconsin. A descendant contacted her because she had added a second picture. Descendant has proof David is buried in Wisc. Research showed that the government marker was ordered in 1890 - 17 years before he died. She has created a memorial for the person actually buried there - David's father, Peter Dings. It seems that David purchased the lot the day after his father died in 1887 from the Lyons Post Cemetery Association. A couple years later the family moved back to Wisconsin. The cemetery association periodically ordered markers for the veteran's burials and David was listed as owner of record of the lot. David Dings is actually buried Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.
