Ransdell Funeral Home Obituary
Adele G Ransdell, age 85, Harrodsburg, widow of C.D. Ransdell Jr. died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at her home in Harrodsburg.
Born October 23, 1921 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary W. (Coleman) Garriott. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church. She was also very active in the Gideon International Auxiliary and the Baptist Women's Mission Union where she held several offices throughout the years, both at local and state levels.
Survivors include: a daughter: Geri Bare of Louisville and a son: C. David (Lois) Ransdell, III. of Harrodsburg; two sisters: Ruth Bunton of Lexington and Jane Stevens of Danville and one brother: Jack Garriott of Mercer County: Four Grandchildren; Eight Great Grandchildren; One Great Great Grandson. Predeceased by a sister: Trudy G. Ransdell.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Larry Kock, Nick Coleman & John Kesel with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Jim Stevens, John Bunton, Tim Shannon, Sonny Ransdell, Todd Allen and Van Anderson. Visitation wil be after 5 pm Tuesday, October 9 at the chapel.
