MANCHESTER Gerald P. Cooper, 72, formerly of York, died Friday, November 10, 2007, at 11:27 p.m. at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Pauline L. (Gunnet) Cooper. There will be no viewing. Following cremation with Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, there will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Friday at Greenmount Cemetery. The Rev. Craig A. Newton, visitation pastor from Otterbein UM Church, will officiate. Mr. Cooper was born March 13, 1935, in York and was the son of the late William P. and Lottie (Heilman) Cooper. He was a custodian for 10 years at William Penn H.S. Mr. Cooper is survived by two sons, Samuel P. Cooper of Orlando, Fla., and Gary Cooper of Red Lion; a daughter, Judy Mitzel of Windsor; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Michael Hartman of York and Darl Hartman of Florida; several stepgrandchildren and step greatgrandchildren; a sister, Janet Stough of York; and a brother, Harold Cooper of York.
