Cecil Biddix, 80, of White Oak Road, Burnsville, died on Nov. 27, 2007, at his home. Cecil was a retired employee of Hunt Manufacturing in Statesville. He enjoyed camping and trout fishing.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wayne Biddix; a brother, Jack Biddix; and a sister, Eva Denny.
He was survived by his wife of 59 years, Cartha Murphy Biddix; two daughters, Linda Johnson and husband, Gary, of Statesville, and Susie Biddix of Temple, Texas; and a son, Allan Biddix of Charlotte. He was also survived by five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Curtis Biddix and Dayton Biddix of Burnsville; three sisters, Ida Deyton and Doris Buchanan of Burnsville and Ruth Dale of Spruce Pine; and several nieces and nephews.
