Leonard "Bud" Ianson, 81, of Kenosha, WI, formerly of Zion, IL, passed away October 20, 2016. Bud was born October 14, 1935 in Lebanon, MO and spent most of his life in Zion. He worked for the City of Zion and retired from the Power Company. Bud was an active member of the Masonic Lodge Anchor and Ark, #1027, A.F.&A.M., the Medina Shiners, and the Valley of Chicago Scottish Rite. He enjoyed reading, watching football, and playing poker. Leonard is survived by his son, Richard (Diana) Ianson of Zion, IL; grandchildren, Candy (Dave) Angel of Kenosha, WI, Glen (Kaitlyn) Ianson of Green Bay, WI, Jason (fiancé Jessica DeRosa) Ianson of Kenosha, WI, and Justin (Jamie) Ianson of Winthrop Harbor, IL; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Dorothy Ianson; sister, Patricia Stried; sons, Glenn Ianson and William Ianson; granddaughter, Ericka Ianson; and life partner, Barbara Drinkwater. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Minister Scott Koepsel, officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Masonic Charity, Coins for Children.
