Rev. John Abbott one of the pioneer ministers of Boone county died at Moingona Monday night. He was eighty years of age and for years a minister of the M.E. church. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence. Rev. Barter of Ogden officiating and the remains interred in Quincy cemetery. He leaves an aged wife, three sons and two daughters.
